I have a confession: I don’t go to Super Bowl parties to watch football. Commercials? Maybe. But chances are you’ll find me within arm’s reach of the food table at any given point during the game, regardless of whether the TV is in view.
There’s no question that snacks are my favorite part about Super Bowl Sunday. They’re like regular party snacks on steroids. All of the food is extra savory and extra spicy – just the way I like it. Unfortunately, most of the foods found at a typical Super Bowl party are super meat- and cheese-heavy. This often leaves us vegans nibbling at nothing but raw veggies and soothing ourselves with a Bloody Mary.
No? Maybe that’s just me.
Anyway, this year we encourage you to put a vegan twist on your favorite Super Bowl snacks and share them with your family and friends. You don’t even have to disclose that your dish is void of meat and dairy products. Then, watch with amusement as fellow partygoers “oooh” and “ahhh” over your creation. Seriously – the following vegan Super Bowl snacks are real crowd pleasers. We promise.
Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
Surprisingly, cauliflower takes on a meaty texture when its smothered in spicy buffalo sauce and baked at a high temperature. These babies are perfect for when you’re craving something tangy. Omnivores love them, too!

Guacamole Hummus
This vegan Super Bowl snack combines two of my favorite things: guacamole and hummus. Whip up a batch and serve it with pita chips and sliced vegetables for a unique twist on a classic favorite.

What pairs better with football than a big slice of pizza? These mini pizzas will curb your craving without spoiling your vegan meal plan. Naturally, you can make these mini pizzas with any toppings you darn well please.

Twice Baked Potato Bites
This vegan Super Bowl snack is a healthy take on everyone’s favorite potato skins sans the cheese and bacon. Twice Baked Potato Bites only requires five ingredients to make and they cook in less than an hour. Perfection.

I always come back to this recipe for dinner parties, potlucks, or when I need a healthy dose of comfort food. Fellow partygoers will be shocked when they learn the delicious, creamy dish you brought is vegan – if you choose to tell them.
