- 1 large bunch swiss chard
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, diced small
- salt
Instructions
- Wash and drain chard. Cut out the large stems, trim the ends and cut them into thin slices. Cut the leaves into wide ribbons.
- Heat olive oil in a large, heavy pot or dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the onions and sauté for about 5 minutes or until soft. Add the stems and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the leaves and salt. Cook, stirring now and then until the leaves are tender. If the pan gets dry and the onions begin to stick or brown, add a little water.
