Best Vegan Items at Trader Joe's

    Jan 30, 2015 · by Kate Kasbee · Modified: Jun 27, 2018

muesli_02I love Trader Joe’s for so many reasons. The produce is always fresh and plentiful, the employees love their jobs (or do a really good job of pretending), and it’s extremely affordable. What more could you ask for? Trader Joe’s enables me to eat vegan (and oftentimes organic) on a budget, and for that I’m forever thankful.

If you don’t live near a Trader Joe’s, I’m sincerely sorry. You probably won’t get much out of this post, and may even get slightly annoyed at how enthusiastic I am about a grocery store. If you do have access to a Trader Joe’s and have recently switched to a vegan meal plan, I encourage you to read on for some of the best vegan items at Trader Joe’s. Even the most loyal Trader Joe’s shoppers may discover a new favorite pantry, fridge, or freezer staple. Here we go!

    Low-Sodium Vegetable Broth
Just because Trader Joe’s low-sodium vegetable broth goes easy on the salt doesn’t mean it lacks in flavor. Try it as a base in vegan soups and stews and for cooking quinoa.

    Trader Joe’s Crunchy Almond Butter
This is where Trader Joe’s really delivers value. Its crunchy almond butter packs a ton of fiber and is modestly priced compared to organic versions at health food stores.

    Frozen Organic Blueberries
I keep a bag of Trader Joe’s frozen organic blueberries stocked in my freezer to blend into smoothies. They’re also tasty when mixed into a vegan breakfast bowl.

    No-Salt Added Fire-Roasted Tomato Salsa
This low-sodium salsa is perfect for making guacamole, eating with tortilla chips, and for adding a spicy kick to a grilled veggie burger.

    Organic Black Bean Soup
Trader Joe’s organic black bean soup is full of fiber and has zero added sugar. Eat a cup with your sandwich or salad at lunch and you’ll feel satisfied, not stuffed.

    Harvest Grains Blend
Trader Joe’s Harvest Grains Blend has the best of everything in one bag: couscous, orzo, baby garbanzo beans, and red quinoa. Enjoy it in soup, with a salad, or as a side dish.

    Falafel Wrap
When you’re eating on the go, Trader Joe’s falafel wrap is an easy and healthy alternative to hitting the drive-thru – again. Plus, it’s naturally high in vitamins A and C.

You can find the entire list of vegan items at Trader Joe's on the store's website.

What’s your favorite vegan item at Trader Joe’s?

We love Trader Joe's! We always stack our pantry with all kinds of their canned organic beans, organic white quinoa, organic basmati rice, whole wheat couscous, organic coconut oil, organic brown rice pasta, all kinds of nuts (walnuts, cashews, almonds, ...) and some Red Rabbit red wine 🙂

We live pretty close to TJs and do most of our shopping there, so this list is great for us. I have yet to try the bean soup or falafel wrap, but both sound good.

I love all of your info and am a subscriber to your menus. Such a huge help in keeping things running at home! I am wondering, however, if your posts on Chipotle, Trader Joes, etc. are sponsored posts? Are you being compensated for them in any way?
