    Sweet & Spicy Adobo Sauce

    We make this sweet and spicy adobo sauce to pair with our favorite baked, crispy cauliflower wings. It would also be great drizzled over a simple rice bowl, baked tofu, or steamed vegetables.

    Made with just three simple ingredients — chipotle in adobo sauce, chili powder, and maple syrup — this sweet and spicy sauce comes together in less than five minutes!

    Description

    If you love the sweet and spicy flavor combination, this sauce will be your favorite. Use more ore less adobo sauce depending on your heat tolerance.

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons sauce from a can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
    • 1 teaspoon chili powder
    • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
    • Pinch of salt

    Instructions

    1. Combine the olive oil, adobo sauce, chili powder, maple syrup, and salt in a small bowl and whisk to combine. 
    2. Toss with a third of the cauliflower wings. Bake the wings as directed above.
